I think about this a lot every time I see writers here on Medium promoting their writing brand. The problem to me is that this does not appeal to me at all.

A writing brand feels like the only reason this person writes is to tell people how to write. So if I am not interested in writing, per se, I am not interested in what this person has to write.

So if I create a brand to myself, how do I escape this?

I believe that I should show a certain structure in how I PUBLISH myself, but writing about what interests me and not about writing per se.
