Inspiration Needs to Be Cultivated.
Find a grip on your inspiration and quit being anxious about losing it. Keep a loose grip.
I just realized that one of the biggest mistakes psychonauts make during their first psychedelic experiences is they knock themselves out of the present moment anytime something of value occurs during the trip that is worth remembering. The fear of being unable to integrate a groundbreaking epiphany after the trip often keeps people from going deeper into their psychedelic journeys. Outside a psychedelic trip — in my daily life —, as a content creator, I often feel a similar feeling when on some occasions, an idea pops into my head, and a sudden flush of inspiration comes rushing. But this inspiration frequently disappears in the shadow of my fear of losing it.
What I found useful to fight this during the psychedelic trip might be applicable in everyday-sober life. One thing I like to do is to remind myself during the trip that whatever I experienced during the trip will be stored somewhere in my memory and during the integration stage I’ll have the opportunity to dig in my memory and analyze the trip. This was the key to going deeper into my own journeys. There is something comforting about knowing that whatever insights, lessons, and visions I experience during the journey are going to be stored within me…
