Nice research. I just acquired a Raspberry 3 with the Nespi+ case for emulating ROMs for playing on the TV and I have been playing with the idea of installing a SO like the ones you mentioned.

I doubt that I could have something useful for my ends, so I'll wait a bit until I'm satisfied with the state of the technology. I just don't think we are there yet.
