Very interesting point of view. I think in the same terms.

I like to play chess and when studying chess I hear a lot a bout strategy and tactic. With many years studying it I finally have an intuitive understanding of both, and I find that this helps me to manipulate the idea.

I see the strategy as the What I am going to do, in general terms.

I see the tactics as to HOW i am going to do it.

The strategy defines in what field I'll be playing, and general goals and objectives.

Tactics will describe what course of action is the most appropriate and how should I go about executing the mission.
