Why is Water So Calming?

I put a fair amount of time trying to figure why water is so calming.

The thing that intrigues me is that you don’t need to be in immersed in the body of water. It’s sufficient to just look at it or even just listen to the sound of water flowing.

I am developing the idea that the reason humans react this way is because the flow of water follows the divine geometry.

This means that the narratives “performed” by the water is rich in relevant information for human cognition, because it will always act accordingly to universal law.

The calming effect, I believe, comes from the state of flow that comes with deep introspection.

This state of deep introspection redirects the blood flow to the brain, stimulating mental activity.

Mental activity can often present an inaccurate version of reality. This is why it’s valuable to feed our input (senses) with a rich source of divine patterns.

This is also why it is so satisfying to look at a garden. Just as how it is with the water, a garden contains many narratives relevant to human beings and observing them can reveal many perspectives on our own dramas.

Sit down next to a river and observe how the water fights it’s battles. Watch as the water interacts with it’s surroundings in a genuine fashion, without even a nanosecond of hesitation.

If you desire to have ideas deeply rooted in TRUTH, you have to feed your spirit with examples of truth.

And water is a great example of that.
